The lava bomb of Strohn
Die Lavabombe von Strohn in der Eifel ist nicht auf Anhieb jedem geläufig. Die außergewöhnlich große Kugel mit einem Durchmesser von 5 Metern und einem Gewicht von knapp 120 Tonnen kullerte offenbar 1969 im Rahmen einer Sprengung des nahegelegenen Steinbruchs aus der Abbruchwand.
Rocheville: Rock Town or City in the Mountain?
Near the village of Bricquebec in Normandy there is a small community of around 600 inhabitants called Rocheville - translated "Rock Town". She is proud of her small "ganggrab" in a nearby forest, the "Bois de la Grosse Roche".
